The TXC Foundation was established to honor the life and legacy of Terry Cox—a man whose character was shaped by generations of cattlemen before him. Terry didn’t just own cattle; he lived the life that earns someone the title of cattleman. Long before sunrise, in the kind of work that offers no spotlight and no applause, he learned the grit, humility, and integrity that define the true Cowboy Way. It was a way of life passed down through his family, and one he carried with quiet pride.
Terry believed in saying what he meant, doing what was right, and helping others even when it cost him personally. Whether he was working cattle, supporting young rodeo athletes, or serving his community, he lived with a selflessness that left a mark on everyone around him. His life embodied the values that Hollywood tries to capture but can never fully replicate—the values you only understand when you’ve lived them day after day, year after year.
The TXC Foundation exists because Terry’s legacy deserves to live on. It was created to continue the work he cared about most: supporting young people in the western industry, lifting up those who serve their communities, and preserving the values that shaped his life. Through scholarships, mentorship, and recognition of service, the TXC Foundation carries forward Terry’s spirit—one young cowboy and cowgirl at a time.
